Our Mission

“Helping all people reach their God-given potential in spirit, mind and body.”

We believe the Y should be a place that is welcoming for all people from all walks of life. Our doors are open to our communities, and we hope to be a place where people can come to improve all aspects of their lives.

Our Character Development

We place a special focus on the following values as we interact with our members, our program participants, and our community.

  • Caring
  • Honesty
  • Respect
  • Responsibility
  • Faith

Our Objectives

The people of the YMCA strive to reach these goals in everything we do.

  • Prepare youth and teens to succeed
  • Strengthen and support families
  • Develop caring communities
  • Encourage and inspire healthy living

Our Focus

For Youth Development

We believe the values and skills learned early on are vital building blocks for life. What children gain from play, whether through swimming or sports, is just as important as what they learn in traditional educational settings.
At the Y, children and teens learn values and positive behaviors, and can explore their unique talents and interests, helping them realize their full potential. Put all of that together, and that makes for confident kids today and contributing and engaged adults tomorrow.

For Healthy Living

We believe that being healthy and seeking improved wellness involves more than just being physically active. It also means ensuring your whole being — spirit, mind and body — is healthy and balanced. We offer programs to help you develop a healthy, wholesome outlook by participating in our athletic programs, fostering connections with friends through our lifelong learning programs, or bringing your loved ones closer together through our many family-centered activities.

For Social Responsibility

We believe that by acting together with our community, we can make it a better place for everyone in it. We are committed to working with and providing support to our neighbors, in the good times and bad. We are also committed to providing opportunities for kids, teens, adults, and families to become healthier and more confident individuals. Above all else, we believe the Y is for everyone, and that is why we never turn anyone away due to an inability to pay.
