YMCA REACH Center is Under Construction

The newly renovated YMCA REACH Center at Winston Lake will reopen in the first half of 2025! The YMCA REACH Center will be a multi-service provider destination and includes a 55,000 square foot renovation that will introduce new amenities including a lobby expansion to become the community “family room”, multipurpose classrooms that will serve as a host for various courses, workshops and trainings, renovated childcare facilities, updated locker room, new wellness center with state-of the art equipment and group exercise room and a Novant Health clinic providing on-site medical services.

The Lifesaving Resolution to Have On Your Child's List

There's a new year approaching on the calendar, and if you're like 40 percent of Americans, you've probably made at least one new year's resolution. It’s relatively easy to set resolutions for yourself, but have you set resolutions for the entire family? Even the youngest (six months in this case) family member can stick with a resolution in the new year! Make sure “knowing how to swim” is on every family member’s resolutions list this year.

Teen Referral Memberships

In a world full of isolation and unrest, it is more important than ever that we keep our young people engaged in positive experiences in healthy, safe environments. Our new initiative offers eligible young people ages 12-18 years old in our communities a FREE membership to access the Y’s fitness facilities, basketball courts, swimming pools, and so much more.

Community Impact

We're proud to serve the people of Northwest North Carolina. In 2023, we launched new community programs, invested in our facilities and equipment, and continued to demonstrate that the Y is a safe place for all to focus on their health — spiritually, mentally and physically.

How Can You Help?

The YMCA has a mission of helping all people reach their God-given potential in spirit, mind and body. We also strive to turn no one away due to an inability to pay a program or membership fee. Our goal is to serve as many people in the community as possible that can benefit from our services. We can’t do that without your help.

Our Mission:

"Helping all people reach their God-given

potential in spirit, mind and body."
