Blood donations are always needed at hospitals across our country. But when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, blood donations became even more critical for patients everywhere.

The YMCA of Northwest North Carolina has partnered with the American Red Cross, hosting several blood drives at branches across our association in an attempt to meet the ever-increasing demand for blood supply.

Throughout 2023, 62 blood drives were hosted across the Association and 1,428 pints of blood were collected, saving 4,284 lives.

See our upcoming blood drives to the right and help make a difference to someone who needs it most.

And contact Chelsea Mullins at c.mullins@ymcanwnc.org if you’d like to learn more about blood drives at the Y.
