2023 Annual Impact Fund Highlights
Your support of the Kernersville Family YMCA's Annual Impact Fund ensures the sustainability of life-changing programs and opportunities for all in our community.
THE COMMUNITY IMPACT OVER THE LAST YEAR: Because of you and your generosity we have distributed over $223,567 back to the Kernersville community and into YMCA programs.

Before and After School Academy
We served 298 participants in our Before and After School programs and distributed $64,400 in financial scholarships.

Bright Beginnings
We provided new school supplies and clothing to 150 students in the Kernersville community.

Membership and Financial Scholarships
We awarded $119,000 in financial scholarships and currently have 8,692 members at the Kernersville Family YMCA.

YMCA Camp Hanes
We served 2,177 youth in our Overnight Camp and 755 youth in our Day Camp programs this past summer at Camp Hanes! We provided $240,036 in financial assistance.

Summer Day Camp
We served approximately 1,221 kids in our Summer Day Camp (K-5 and Teens) and distributed $22,503 in financial assistance.

Evidence-Based Health Intervention Programs
In 2023, we have served 256 participants in our Evidence-based Health Intervention programs across the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina. The Annual Impact Fund provided $27,200 for programs like LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA (a free 12-week program for cancer survivors and their families).

Reaching Our Potential
We served 36 teens from the Kernersville community in our Teen Referral Membership program. 498 teens across our Association are enrolled in this program for at-risk teens.

Swim Lessons
We served 1,167 kids in our swim lessons program and provided $315 in financial assistance.

Volunteers
268 volunteers serving 2,617 hours supported the Kernersville Family YMCA and the Kernersville community in 2023.

Safety Around Water (SAW)
We served 126 participants in our Safety Around Water - a program that provides swim instruction and water safety to children from under-served communities at no cost.

Youth Sports
We served 973 kids in our sports programs and awarded $1,164 in financial assistance.
