The Winston Lake Family YMCA has been under renovations since July 2024 and will soon reopen to the public.WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - After 11 months of renovations and the additions to the YMCA REACH Center at Winston Lake, the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina has announced the reopening of the Winston Lake YMCA.
KING, N.C. - Beginning on May 19, Chris Chunn will become the new Executive Director of the Stokes Family YMCA. A native of King and West Stokes High School alum, Chunn's Y journey began 15 years ago at the Stokes Family YMCA. Over the years, he has served in a variety of leadership roles. Most recently, he has led the Fulton Family YMCA along with the Youth Development Branch.
Join us in celebrating Adam Cardwell, the Executive Director of the Kernersville Family YMCA, who has been recognized as one of Black Business Ink’s 2025 40 Under 40 Most Influential African Americans in the Triad. This prestigious award honors young professionals who are making a significant impact in businesses and communities across the triad.
The ribbon cutting of the YMCA REACH Center at Winston Lake will be Wednesday, May 14, at 10:00am and we hope you join us to celebrate this momentous occasion in our community! We will also hold an Open House from 11:00am-12:30pm.
