Financial scholarships, programs for youth, and community outreach were key areas of focus last year

All proceeds will go toward Y programs that benefit local youth WINSTON-SALEM — Last December’s YMCA Mistletoe Run may have come and gone, but the impact from the annual race will continue to make a difference. 

Reaching Our Potential gives students a free Y membership and access to opportunities WINSTON-SALEM — The past school year has been difficult for many students, especially those in Winston-Salem. These students have dealt with a fatal school shooting in September and an ongoing pandemic this academic year — just to name a few.

The grant will go toward programs addressing summer learning loss and achievement gaps, in partnership with Davie County Schools MOCKSVILLE — The Davie Family YMCA was awarded a 21st Century Community Learning Centers Grant worth $1.2 million over the next three years, which will help achieve educational equity.
